@@GaryHughesOfficial well I wanted to point out that your video title is "HOW to shoot [...] in harsh sunlight" and the answer you are giving in the video is --> DON'T. Because when you actually shoot, you do it in shadow. You don't actually show how to take pictures in (actual) harsh sunlight ;-)

Certainly could be a headshot lens, it’s all relative. Depends on the situations you typically shoot in and the camera body, but it could work, sure. It’s not my preferred focal length, but everyone’s different :)

Well it's been a while since I made this, but the grip bag I use now is the Think Tank Production Manager 40, the cart I use is the Rock n' Roller R3 :) The 80's music must have been speaking to me when I made this!

No not yet. None of the new features are a must for me, but it looks cool!

There are a lot of factors here. File type, color space, paper type (this can completely change the colors of an image). Printing is a complicated journey, but it’s better the more you learn

@@GaryHughesOfficial I print a jpeg file after editing the raw file and thru ps producing the jpeg. I use a paper profile to print. I use a brand new Epson P700 printer, so I have eliminated it. My iMac is a couple years old. I just don’t know where to start. I thought Spyder X Pro would sink printer, profiles and result in syncing all to match monitor. Probably wishful thinking on my part.

Funny enough, that’s still not quite enough info to figure out the problem. I know, I’m sorry about that it’s just true. It sounds like you might be missing a few pieces of fundamental knowledge when it comes to printing (and that’s okay!) so maybe I can point you in the right direction. Follow Eric Joseph and find anything you can in his methods, he really breaks it down beautifully. What about if I had someone punching me in the nuts while I did it?! JK - In the case of a group you could 1 - find a different spot 2 - use a much larger scrim (i have an 8'x8') 3 - overpower the scene with flash 4 - if the client insists on outdoors, plan a time of day where the light is likely to be better :)

If you are looking for affordable, the RF 85mm F2 or the RF 24-105 F4 would be great choices. Check Canon refurbished for good deals, that’s where I get my lenses most of the time :)

No, sorry. I think there are too many variables here for me to give an accurate answer. I don't know what other settings you have changed or the situation in which you are testing. Best bet is to contact Canon support if you are having a serious issue.

My dad always said that a grey background is the most versatile, you can turn it white, black, or any color you like with gels. The principle remains the same, though. Measure the light so that the background meters 1 stop brighter than the subject :)

That 50 will end up being closer to an 85 on that camera. Thats probably a fine setup for headshots :)

I wanted a camera the same color as my soul! JK, the silver is beautiful, but it attracts a lot of attention. I am usually trying to be stealthy when using it and I feel like the black doesn't satnd out quite as much. Fingers crossed!

Oh man! I am on pins and needles waiting for Evoto to add the two lines of code it owuld take to be compatible directly with Headshot Tools. I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen, but right now it's not directly compatible. I do, however, deliver same day retouched images with HT, it just doesn't exactly flow with instant delivery yet. So I tether into C1 then export jpegs just like in the video.
